Things were rolling in Year Two this week - literally!
🌟 Our little stars took to the grassy slope at the front of school and what a great spot it was to go for a roll!
😁 There was laughter and there were squeals of joy - what could be more important than this?
However, there were also many valuable learning and development opportunities for our children, including:
✅ connecting with nature;
✅ challenging our body’s balancing systems;
✅ stimulating our muscles and ligaments;
✅ developing an understanding of space; and
✅ working on developing our strength.
Yes, there is educational and developmental value (and lots of it) to rolling around on hills, but to witness and hear the sheer delight on our little stars’ faces was precious. What we witnessed was happiness and joy personified and just good old fashioned fun! In a world that can feel challenging, what could be more important than this?
