Today our Year 1 pupils had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day with their friends from Recarson St. Ronan’s PS. The children took part in an exciting workshop with illustrator Colleen Larmour, who shared some of the wonderful stories she has illustrated, including Brown Bears, This That What, and Moon.
Afterward, the boys and girls created their very own moon‑themed artwork, inspired by Colleen’s illustrations. They also enjoyed listening to lots of different stories throughout the day and even made their own colourful bookmarks to take home!
One of the highlights was seeing everyone dressed up as their favourite storybook characters—so much creativity on display! 📖💫
It was a joy to see the children meeting, chatting, and making new friends from Recarson. A wonderful day of friendship, imagination, integration and reading!
