Welcome to Year 6.

Mrs Kelly is our Year 6 teacher.

We are also very lucky to have Mrs McCaskie who provides valuable support to all of the children in our class. 

We love learning in Primary Six. Our World Around Us topics this year are: The Vikings, Bridges and Structures, Violent Earth, Dynamic Earth and Japan.

Reading is one of the most valued and enriching parts of our school day. Pupils participate in the Accelerated Reader programme daily, developing not only their comprehension skills but also a lifelong appreciation for literature.

Each term, we explore a new class novel together, allowing us to immerse ourselves in different worlds, characters and themes.

This year, our chosen texts include How to Train Your Dragon, Holes and Kensuke’s Kingdom — a diverse and engaging selection that inspires curiosity, discussion and a genuine love of reading.
