As part of our World Book Day celebrations, our Year 1 and Year 7 pupils teamed up for a very special reading session. Each Year 7 pupil read a storybook aloud to a Year 1 buddy and what a lovely morning it was!
Our Year 7 children showed such maturity, confidence, and kindness, taking their roles as reading buddies very seriously. Year 1 absolutely loved the chance to spend time with an older pupil, share a story, and make a new friend. 💛
This activity was also part of Integration Education Month, a wonderful reminder that we truly are better together. Seeing pupils of different ages connect through stories and build positive relationships made the day even more meaningful.
