April was a busy and exciting month for our Year 1 children as we explored our Spring and Life Cycles theme! 🌱🐝🦋🐸
The children learned all about the life cycles of a human, plant, bee, butterfly and frog, gaining a wonderful understanding of how living things grow and change. They enjoyed hands‑on learning through role play in our garden center, and there was lots of fantastic caring and cooperation shown while looking after babies in our baby clinic role‑play area. 👶❤️
We also planted sunflower seeds, which the children have been proudly caring for by watering them every day – we can’t wait to watch them grow! 🌻
Creativity has been flowing, with lots of beautiful spring artwork completed. The children even turned into little bakers, making flower biscuits 🌼 and butterfly treats 🦋 – which were just as delicious as they were pretty!
