Our Year 2 children had a delightful (and delicious!) time this week as they followed simple instructions to make Paddington Bear’s favourite treat — a marmalade sandwich. As part of our Toys topic, the class learned how to sequence steps and work carefully and safely. The children spread the butter, added a generous layer of marmalade, and carefully pressed their sandwiches together before cutting them into halves or quarters. There were lots of sticky fingers and even more smiles as everyone proudly tasted their creations. It was a wonderful hands-on activity that brought our learning to life.
