This week, Year 4 have been busy exploring their brand‑new World Around Us topic Food, guided by our wonderful student teacher, Miss Maguire.
As part of their learning, pupils have been developing their instruction‑writing skills—using clear sequencing, connectives, and plenty of brilliant ‘bossy verbs’ to give step-by-step commands. After lots of practice, they finished the week with an exciting hands-on task: writing their own recipe and creating colourful, delicious fruit kebabs! 🍉🍌🍇
It was such a joy to see the children fully engaged, working carefully through their instructions, and then getting to enjoy a tasty treat they made themselves. A fantastic blend of learning, creativity, and healthy fun!
