Year 5 and 6 have been studying Ancient Egypt this term, in particular, Egyptian jewellery. We researched necklaces to find out what materials were used, precious stones and what design they would have used.
The pupils then made their own necklaces incorporating design and colours of their own choice. Some even made up completely new designs using the scarab beetle symbol.
The resulting necklaces were colourful and unique. We hope to start on the canopic Jars next.
