Year 1 explorers spent February diving into our
Houses and Homes topic! From our own front doors to the furthest corners of the globe, it’s been a month full of discovery.
Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to:
- 📍 Local Living: We identified the features of our own houses and compared the different types of homes found right here in our community.
- 🌍 World Travellers: We "travelled" far and wide to see how people live in different climates, learning all about igloos, tipis, houses on stilts, and more.
- 🎨 Themed Play: Our classroom was buzzing with mini-architects and builders bringing their learning to life!
It’s been wonderful seeing the children discover that while homes can look very different, they all provide the same warmth and safety.
