As the hour changed and the nights got longer, we explored night and day in pre-school. We developed awareness of nocturnal animals and talked about our own daily routines at home. We enjoyed learning about space through imaginative play in our ‘space-station’ and building 3D rockets using junk art.
We learned about lots of different people who help us in the local community through stories and role-play in our ‘hospital’ and our outdoor ‘fire-station’.
The children took part in a Pedal-a-thon fundraiser and we celebrated completing the challenge with a People Who Help Us Party, together with our friends in the nursery class.
