Year 6 had a very enjoyable morning as we visited Omagh Academy to attend a Robotics Workshop. The workshop was facilitated by an organisation called Sentinus. The children were put into pairs and allocated a laptop.They received instructions from a facilitator on how to program a small robot to perform manoeuvres in the Assembly Hall. The children were given the opportunity to develop skills such as teamwork, problem solving and decision making, in addition to using technology and developing basic programming skills. Thank you so much to Mr Hamilton from Omagh Academy who invited us to take part in this fun and practical workshop. After the workshop, we made the most of our morning by walking to the Grange Park and spending time playing with our friends in this wonderful park. A lovely way to end the morning before returning to school for lunch.😍
