Year 2 have been exploring the Northern Lights as part of our topic, 'The Polar Lands' which we described as “a magical light show in the sky.” Inspired by the work of artist Frederick Edwin Church who captured the Northern Lights in his artwork, the children tore pieces of paper, experimented with blending colours, and explored how bright colours contrast beautifully against a dark night sky. What a year group of little artists!
