Y7 have been learning all about the Victorians as their cross curricular topic. The Victoria sponge or Victoria sandwich cake was named after Queen Victoria, who was known to enjoy a slice of sponge cake with her afternoon tea. Y7 recreated this experience by creating our own Victoria Sponges. Mr Hannigan and Mr Sweeney put their baking skills to the test and baked two great sponges to be enjoyed by Y7.
