Our Year 2 classes had a wonderful World Book Day 2026, filled with fun, creativity, and a love of stories. The children came to school dressed as their favourite book characters or in their comfiest clothes, ready for a cosy day of reading. Everyone brought along their favourite book to share with a reading buddy from Year 5, and the older pupils were brilliant reading partners. We also joined a special live zoom lesson with the N.I. Library Service, where author Jonathan Sung read ”Moon Moon Can’t Sleep.” The children loved illustrating one of his characters and bringing the story to life. It was a joyful, imaginative day that celebrated the magic of books.
