What a busy, fun-filled week Year 6 have had! To kick start Children’s Mental Health Week, we enjoyed taking part in our non-uniform day on Monday-Dress to Impress/Express yourself! On Tuesday we had a very exciting experience as our ‘Intergenerational Dance Project’ was filmed! We are truly privileged to have been part of such a wonderful experience and we cannot thank Carmel Garvey enough for her dedication and commitment to this project. On Wednesday we took part in a yoga session and this helped us to relax, feel calm and explore mindful meditation in a fun and interactive way. We even made an interconnecting chain to show how we connect with each other! We also connected with children from Mrs Young’s class in Year 3 and enjoyed reading a story to the younger children. On Thursday we took part in an online zoom art lesson with Sinead Mc Dermot and produced beautiful watercolour landscapes. We have had a fantastic week in school and have definitely shined a spotlight on the importance of children and young people’s mental health 🥰
